IT WAS A SETUP!!!!! Entanglements with narcissist aren't exactly what you think

Typically, when we see a “Setup” depicted in movies its usually a plot to trap or harm someone. Whether it’s a gangster planning to catch the mole in the organization or a law enforcement agent attempting to arrest the criminal, the “Setup” usually has a negative connotation for the intended victim.

What if I told you “YOU WERE SETUP!!!”. Most assuredly, if you are reading content on Narcissistic Personality Disorder because of your own personal experiences then you were definitely the intended target of a Setup. Now I know what you are thinking, you have already learned enough about narcissist to know that they had a malicious plan for your life. But it wasn’t the narcissist who set you up. They were just doing what comes naturally to their kind. You were a participant in a divine setup.

Let’s admit it, not one person on this planet is perfect, including yourself. But there is a better version of yourself that is just dying to get out [The Prisoner of the Prisoner]. In order to manifest the best version of yourself you must undergo some significant changes to your life. Your narcissist is the catalyst for that change. GOD knew this, GOD purposely placed that individual in your life for this very reason. The betrayal may have been devastating, the pain and heart-ache severe, and it seemed as though all the time spent was wasted. But it was all apart of a divine plan.

GOD knew what you were going to go through before it even happened. Therefore, he anointed you with spiritual blessings and natural gifts to overcome the plans of the enemy. Let’s look at 2 passages of scripture:

Ephesians chapter 1. verse 3-5

3 Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will

Jeremiah chapter 29. verse 11

11 For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

The relationship between the passages above paints a very clear picture of Gods perfect will for our life. Ephesians emphasizes the spiritual blessing which has been placed within us beforehand and indicates that we have been “chosen”/“predestined” for adoption into sonship in accordance with his pleasure and will. Jeremiah goes into greater detail as to what his “pleasure and will” is for our lives. “Plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give you hope and a future”.

So you see, the assault of the narcissist is not designed to cause lasting harm. However, it is intended to spark the change necessary to mold you into the best version of yourself. It may not happen over-night and you may hurt for a time in the beginning. But GOD has given you the tools to overcome this ahead of time. The fact that you are reading this blog now, that you are researching this content, is an indicator that you have identified the enemy and its tactics. While simultaneous learning who you truly are and operating in the divine gifts imparted to you. I want to encourage each and every one of you to continue to learn, continue to grow and continue to pursue the best version of you.
